The Joseph F. Cullman, Jr. Institute for Patient Experience

The mission of the Joseph F. Cullman, Jr. Institute for Patient Experience is to promote a culture of patient-centered care that emphasizes service and compassion from the moment a patient enters the hospital through discharge.

The Institute works in partnership with The Board of Trustees, the health system and hospital leadership, physicians, nurses, trainees, clinicians from other disciplines and all staff members, as well as volunteers and members of the community, recognizing each individual makes a unique contribution to the patient’s experience.

Patient Experience Newsletter

The Joseph F. Cullman, Jr. Institute for Patient Experience also publishes a quarterly newsletter to highlight new initiatives and share best practices across the system. The newsletter serves to educate all team members on key drivers of the patient experience as we strive to make Mount Sinai Health System the premier healthcare provider in the metropolitan region. Spearheading this vision is the system’s Chief Patient Experience Officer and Senior Vice President, Sandra Myerson.
